Here are steps to properly ship breast milk:
FOR 9 BARS - 200g BREAST MILK IS REQUIRED
FOR 16 BARS - 400g BREAST MILK IS REQUIRED
1. Proper Storage: Freeze breast milk in breast milk storage bags or containers specifically designed for freezing breast milk. Make sure to fill the bags or containers to the appropriate level to allow for expansion during freezing.
2. Packaging: Place the frozen breast milk containers inside an insulated cooler or box. Use packaging materials such as bubble wrap or foam inserts to prevent the containers from shifting during transit.
3. Insulation: Surround the frozen breast milk containers with ice packs or dry ice to keep them frozen during shipping. Make sure the ice packs or dry ice are well insulated from direct contact with the breast milk containers to prevent freezing.
4. Sealing: Seal the cooler or box securely with strong tape to prevent leaks or spills during transit. Consider double-bagging the breast milk containers for added protection.
5. Labeling: Clearly label the package with “Perishable” and “Breast Milk” labels. Include the date the milk was expressed and any special handling instructions.
6. Communication: Notify us when the milk was shipped over the email along with full order details.
7. Tracking: Use a tracking number provided by the shipping carrier to monitor the progress of the shipment and ensure timely delivery. Email us the tracking number as well.
By following these steps, you can help ensure that breast milk is shipped properly and safely to its destination.
