Goat Milk Soap - The Beautiful Mystery
5 Minute Read
With so many different artisan soaps and cleansers in the marketplace today, it can be challenging to know which ones to use to support skin health.
This decision becomes even more complicated since most commercial products aren’t natural soap. The Food and Drug Administration classifies most of them as synthetic detergents.
Given these facts, it only makes sense that more people than ever are embracing the beautiful mystery of goat milk soap. It offers soothing qualities with a short and trustworthy ingredient list when used regularly.
Why Is Goat Milk Soap the Best Artisan Soap?
Goat milk soap is a product made from traditional processes. It combines an acid, such as fats and oils, with a lye base. [1]
Most soaps combine sodium hydroxide with water to create a usable product. In the creation process, goat milk is substituted for the liquid to create a creamy consistency.
Since goat milk soap has naturally saturated and unsaturated fats, it is ideal for simultaneously improving lather and moisturization opportunities. This combination leads to many potential advantages for the average consumer.
Benefits of Using Goat Milk Soap for a Personal Routine
If you’re still on the fence about switching to goat milk soap products, here are some of the benefits that could come your way.
1. A Natural Exfoliant
With goat milk soap, you can access numerous compounds during your cleansing routine that could exfoliate your skin. It contains AHAs (alpha-hydroxy acids) that can treat everything from age spots to scars. The lactic acid in this product gently removes the top layer, making it suitable for sensitive skincare routines.
The orange vanilla goat milk soap we offer takes a handcrafted approach to self-care with complementary ingredients like cocoa butter and 100% extra virgin olive oil for a luxurious experience. It is rich in fatty acids and delivers a high lactic acid content.
When natural body butters for dry skin combine with the qualities of goat’s milk, you receive a wonderful combination that feels inviting to the touch.
2. Healthy Skin Biome
Your skin is the place where a collection of healthy bacteria call home. Today’s best goat milk soap products use gentle dirt removal properties to avoid stripping the surface of natural lipids and biome qualities to deliver an improved barrier against pathogen intrusion. [2]
Goat milk contains probiotics that produce lactic acid, which could have an anti-inflammatory effect when regularly applied.
3. Goat Milk Soap for Eczema
When skin receives regular gentle exfoliating activity, it removes dead skin cells and trapped oils, often leading to acne or eczema development. Your pores become clean of dirt and unnecessary debris.
Goats milk soap for eczema can also provide a soothing experience to calm itching and burning for many people.
This process could help the skin maintain its moisture levels better, unlike other cleansers with harsh ingredients that cause flaking and dryness. [3]
Acne treatments vary in circumstances and conditions, but our ylang-ylang, lemon, and vanilla goat milk soap is an incredible option with your favorite essential oils. Each bar is cut by hand to ensure the highest quality possible.
4. Best Bar Soap for Dry Skin
Xerosis is a skin condition that happens when low water levels are present. The lipid barrier is meant to slow moisture loss, so tight surfaces and irritation develop when this issue becomes excessive.
When people use harsh soaps to treat this issue, they can inadvertently strip the skin of even more of the moisturization effect it needs.
The best way to improve dry skin is to focus on the lipid barrier. With goat milk artisan soap bars, the higher fatty acid levels could replace what is missing to allow for water retention improvements. [4]
5. Effective Cleansing
Goat milk soap contains high levels of caprylic acid. This trait enables it to remove dirt or debris gently without scrubbing away the skin’s natural fatty acid inventory. [5]
Most commercial natural man soaps and those for women, including those that aren’t synthetic detergents, are made with harsh surfactants that can remove extensive oil and moisture. That activity is why your skin sometimes feels tight or dry, even after taking a shower.
With goat milk soap, the skin’s natural fats remain to ensure it remains a healthy barrier that works hard to protect your body.
6. Maintains pH Balance
The ingredients found in goat milk soap offer a pH level similar to the skin. That helps it to be a gentle, less irritating product for daily cleansing compared to other products. This trait makes it easier for the body to regulate the acids and bases in its biome, resulting in extraordinary shine with regular use, including a brighter tone and a more radiant complexion.
